The new Mr. Jones EP “Mastermind” finally hits the streets, three original tracks and three remixes by BLACKASTEROID, Niereich and Ritzi Lee. And how about support from ALL the big dogs: Dave Clarke, Richie Hawtin (well his assistant at least) Speedy J, Chris Liebing, Joseph Capriati, Luke Slater, The Advent, Truncate, DVS1, Tommy Four Seven, Bas Mooy and many more!

After releasing his ‘Zoom 40-50’ Part I and II and ‘Broadband Collaborations’ together with George Lanham last year, a lot of things have happened to Mr. Jones. How about teaming up with Dave Clarke in the studio as Unsubscribe (of course The Public Stand was on this immediately asking the gentlemen to remix Radical G – dig back into the catalogue!), or debuting at two of the most important festivals of the year in Holland, Awakenings and Mysteryland?
So it’s time to unleash freshly squeezed Mr. Jones once more with an EP called ‘Mastermind’, containing three original tracks in signature style: dark, big and more layers of sound than you can wave your iPod at.
But there’s more… three remixers carefully chosen to create the right elixir, whether it’s for your DJ set, stereo, portable player or whatever you have connected to your ears.
First up is Bryan Black (MOTOR) under his excellent BLACKASTEROID alias. Remember his track ‘Engine 1’ on Chris Liebing’s CLR label, with that incredible Unsubscribe remix? Well, you should! Now he’s punking up the LED’s into the red once more, to remix ‘Black Rainbow’.
The second remixer is a personal favourite of The Public Stand, Ritzi Lee. This Dutch techno maestro has released music on Ben Sims’ Theory, worked with Orlando Voorn and has his own label called Underground Liberation.
The third man to complete the release is Niereich. There’s only one way to describe his work – Bass. You will know when his remix hits the P.A. at your local club. It’s the moment everyone reaches for their stomach because the bass is pounding their torso about 130 times a minute. Remember that scene in the Matrix when the Agents pound Neo in bullet time? Well there’s a new Mr. Smith in town and his name is Niereich.
We hope you enjoy this release as you have enjoyed all the others. See you in a few weeks with yet another stormer by Mr. Jones!
